Centre for Discourse Studies, Barcelona (CED)


The Center of Discourse Studies (Centro de Estudios del Discurso, CED) is an initative of specialists in Discourse Studies (DS) of the public universities of Barcelona: 

  • Pompeu Fabra University (UPF)
  • The University of  Barcelona (UB)
  • The Autonomous University of  Barcelona (UAB)

The aims of the CED are:

  • To promote the study of discourse in Barcelona
  • To organise, support and inform about DS at the universities of Barcelona
  • To organise teaching in DS, especially at the graduate level (masters, doctorate).
  • To inform students and others interested in DS
  • To publish and update a web site with information, links, documentation, etc. in DS
  • To organise congresses, conferences and talks.
